Alfred Turley

Peacefully surrounded by family and dear friends at Cambridge Memorial hospital on Sunday November 13, 2011. Beloved husband of Dolores Turley ( Fisher-Jacques) and former husband of Joyce Turley (Haskins). Predeceased by his parents, Gladys (Birdie) Tarland and Alfred Turley, senior of Cambridge. Cherished father of Geoffrey Turley (deceased), Jennifer Clark and her husband Greg Clark of Cambridge, Jane Turley and husband David Greaves of Calgary, and Andrea Turley and her husband Russell Sinclair-Day of Barrie. Stepfather to Rick (Pam ) Jacques, of Cambridge, Greg Jacques, of Alberta, Mark (Paula) Jacques and Kevin (Theresa) Jacques all of Cambridge. Also survived by his granddaughter Rebecca Hahn, and 6 step grandchildren Andrea, Mahlon, Katlyn, Amber, Holly and Nicholas, and 4 great step grandchildren Jade, Javien, Janiah, Xavier and Tyson., his sister Pauline Paulter and her husband Rene of Cambridge, sister-in-law Mary Pat Weaver and husband Keith of Cambridge, Beryl Moffat and husband David of Cambridge, brother- in-law Morgan Fisher and wife Carol of Waterloo, and many nieces and nephews. Alf was a lifelong resident of Cambridge (Galt). Alf was a barber for many years and also a salesman for Globe Envelope Company prior. Avid lover of classical music, theatre, coffee with the boys, visits with neighbors, the cottage and family life. Alf’s sense of humour, dry wit and friendship will be greatly missed by all, but will forever be in our hearts. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at Coutts Funeral Home 96 St. Andrews St Cambridge (519-621-1650) on Wednesday November 16, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 P. M. Memorial services will be held from the funeral home chapel on Thursday November 17, 2011 at 2 P. M. As expressions of sympathy donations to Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation, or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
