Ana Da Silva

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother, vova, vova velinha, sister and friend after a brief battle with cancer on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family.

United again with beloved husband Jose Luiz (2004). Amazing mother to Helia (John) Farquharson, proud vova to Jef Aurora (Jen), Ann Marie (Dustin), Kristina (Danny), vova velinha to Landon, as well as a new baby boy arriving in October. Dear sister to Liduina deVargas and Eunice Duarte (Maurice) and sister-in-law to Filomena da Silva, Leonilda Correira (Herminio), Arminda Pinheiro Guilherme da Rosa and Bonnie Pinheiro . Predeceased by her parents Antonio Francisco and Maria Alice, and siblings: Filomena, Maria, Gabriela, Salomé, Manuel and Ludgero. Ana will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends and family will be received at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge (519-621-1650) on Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 2-4 pm and 7-9pm with evening prayers at 8pm. A Funeral Mass will take place the following day on Friday, August 15, 2014 at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 185 Elgin Street South, Cambridge at 10am. Interment to follow at Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge.
