Surrounded by her loving family, Audrey went home to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, where she will rest in eternal peace. Predeceased by her beloved husband Hank, whom she was married to for almost 66 years (December 13, 1952). Born in the Netherlands, Audrey met her husband Hank when she was only a young girl. Her family moved to his neighbourhood and they grew up on the same street. Audrey and Hank became friends and their relationship grew - it was a match made in heaven! In December of 1952, Audrey joined Hank in Canada on their new adventure, and shortly after they were married. Together they had 14 children. Audrey worked tirelessly all her life raising her 14 children. Her proudest and greatest accomplishment was her family. If Audrey were here today she would gladly tell you that all of her children are healthy and well. Over the years, Audrey enjoyed delivering newspapers and socializing with her customers, and helping those she met along her journey. She had a kind and generous heart! Audrey also cherished her dog Bijou, who was a special companion to her for many years. Audrey was a woman of great faith and was a devout Catholic attending St. Ambrose Church for over 50 years. She always prayed for her children and family, wanting only God’s best for them. Audrey was a faithful servant of her Lord, Jesus Christ, and we know that she will be eternally rewarded. Just as Hank went before her to go to Canada to prepare a home for them, so did he leave this earth last December to prepare her home, and met her in heaven to be together once again. Audrey spent her last year and a half at The Village of Riverside Glen in Guelph, where she made many friends with staff and residents alike. Special thanks to Dr. Parent at Guelph General Hospital, as well as Hospice Wellington staff and volunteers who participated in maintaining Mom's dignity during her final days and hours. Thank you for everything, Mom! We love you!
