Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Guelph on Sunday, April 14, 2019. Beloved mother of Mike and Linda, Ken and Rita, John and Francine, Mary James and Patricia Haberer. Cherished Gramma of 20, and Great-Gramma of 23. Bea believed in the promise of everlasting life and joins her husband Ralph (1988), her daughters Kathy Loucks (2006) and Janet Smith (2009). She was also predeceased by her parents, George and Regina Weiss, brothers Melvin and Donald Weiss, and sisters Rita (in infancy) and Margaret Cooper. She will be missed by her sister Dorothy Bell and many other extended family, nieces and nephews.
Mom was devoted to her family and had so much love in her, she shared it with all who touched her life. Both Bea and Ralph were active members at St. Gregory’s Church, supporting the CWL, Legion of Mary (which was dear to her heart) and spent many days visiting the sick and elderly. She was always smiling. She was a true example of charity to all of us. She lived her faith. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at St. Joseph’s Health Centre for taking care of mom during her time there.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, April 23 from 2 - 4pm and 7 - 9pm with Rosary at 8:30pm at Coutts Funeral Home located at 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge, Ontario. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church, 10 St. Gregory Drive, Cambridge Ontario. Burial at Mount View Cemetery to be followed by reception at the church. Bea would be honoured to be remembered with donations to St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation Guelph, the Alzheimer Society, or the ALS Society.
