He leaves behind his dedicated and loving wife of 40 years, Barbara, his wonderful children, David, Lauren (Nick Veenema), his most precious treasure - his granddaughter, Addi, his sister-in-law, Bozena Densmore, and his many loving extended family members, cousins, and dear friends. Bud is predeceased by his mother, Brenda (Berry) Clarke, and grandparents, Ruth and Arthur Berry.
Bud fought and beat several cancers over the past 20 years, survived a debilitating stroke, and recently succumbed to brain cancer.
He worked as a salesman representative at Richelieu Hardware until his retirement in 2015, loved playing and watching all sports, and will be fondly remembered for his genuine and fun-loving nature and infectious laugh. Bud loved singing and listening to all genres of music. He enjoyed his daily walks in the neighborhood rain or shine.
The family thanks the many doctors and nurses at Grand River Hospital (WRHN), and the caring medical team and staff of Innisfree House, who made Bud’s last days very comfortable and peaceful.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Coutts Funeral Home on Thursday, September 18, from 5–8 p.m. A memorial mass will be held at St. Gregory’s Church, 10 St. Gregory Drive, Cambridge, on Friday, September 19, at 11 a.m., with a reception to follow in the church hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Innisfree House or the Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
Rest in peace, Bud. We love you.
