Catharine Ruth Stewart

Ruth was born on February 8, 1946 to Laverne and Grace Card in Galt. Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, William Stewart, her daughter Shelley Beckman and son James Stewart. Also her grandchildren Graham, Nicholas, Amber, Lisa, Robert and Brooklyn. She was survived by her brother David Card, sister in Law Becky. As well as her niece and nephew, Erin (Goeldner) and Joel (Card).

After graduating with her nursing degree, she spent over 25 years as a nurse at St. Mary’s hospital. And the last decade of her working career, she worked in palliative care with ParaMed. She was beloved and admired by all who she cared for and worked with.

She was predeceased by her three Uncles, three Aunts, and many cousins.

The family would also like to express deep gratitude to the Sunnyside Home nurses, PSW's, and all support staff. They worked tirelessly and with great care to make sure Ruth's time with them was full of kindness and tenderness.

A memorial service will be held at Forward Baptist Church in Cambridge on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 10:30 am. preceeded by visitation at 9:30 am. Friends and family are welcome to join for a small luncheon after the service.
