With great sadness, we announce his passing at Stirling Heights on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Betty, in their 58th year of marriage. Loving father to Judy Lalumiere (Jake) and Jo-Anne Reeve (Ross) and stepchildren Bruce Anderson (Carol) and Gail Murphy (Gerald). Proud grandfather of 12 and great-grandfather of 18. Sadly missed by sister in-law Shirley Avery. Predeceased by his brothers Cliff and David and son in-law Jake Blackmore. Charles was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the Canadian Armed Forces for 26 years and then as a Sheriff’s Officer for 22 years. He loved horses and spending time at Flamboro Downs Race Track. The family wishes to thank the staff and volunteers at Stirling Heights and the C.M.H. Emergency nurses for their loving and compassionate care.
Visitation will take place at Coutts Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge on Saturday, January 16, 2016 from 1 - 1:45 p.m. The Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Charles’ memory to Stirling Heights would be appreciated by the family.
