I just came across the news of his passing. He was my dentist as early as I can remember up until my 20s. He always made me feel safe, welcomed, and cared for. He would ask about my life and even remember things that I told him years prior. He was a kind and gentle soul. My heart goes out to those who know him and are close to him. He is forever remembered in mine. 

I have just now learned with great sadness of Dr. Poweska's passing.  He was a wonderful, kind, caring dentist for me for many years until his retirement.  I think of him so often with a smile and with gratitude for his gentle personality and his wry sense of humor!  I want his family to know how special his memory is to me.  May God comfort all of his loved ones.

Dr Poweska was our family dentist for about 20 years.   He was a good dentist who would always take the time to make sure you understood his treatments and to make us and our kids feel comfortable.   He was also a good person with a gentle manner and a fine sense of humour. We were sorry to hear of his passing and wish to send our condolences to his family.

I used to know him. He was a really good guy and nice and kind. Sad to found out this way, he past away. Try contacting him but remember one of his kids message saying he was in the hospital. So I thought I would give his name a google search and I found this out. I really wish I could see him one more time.

I was shocked when I read that Dave had passed away. I remember the times we had spent at Long Point with our families and the times we had at our shops. I really felt comfortable going to see him as my dentist....we shared a lot of stories and had a few laughs. I will surely miss him. R I P Dave.

I was a dental assistant in Mississauga for many years. I married & my husband & I bought a house in Hespler....walking distance from David Poweska' s office. How convenient was it that he had a position open for a dental assistant at that time. 

I think I worked with him for about a year. I left only because I was offered a teaching position in Kitchener. He was so supportive and happy for me. He took genuine interest in me as he did in all his staff & patients.

 I had the honor of getting to know him not only as an employer but as a warm hearted person who really wanted to help people.  I'll always remember his genuine smile & hearty laugh. 

My heart is with all his family & friends &  Janet Corking,  his devoted coworker and friend for all these years. 

To all of Dave's family....
Having worked for Dave for 28 years, I came to care for him as a friend and respect him as an employer.  I know that this was returned.  We shared countless hours together, and I will miss him terribly. He was a very special man, and a dentist who cared for his patients. He was loved by many.
