Passed away peacefully at Hilltop Manor, Cambridge on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 in his 78th year. Beloved husband of the late Gail Cecilia (nee Thomson) Finlayson. Loving dad to Tracy; dear brother to Ken, Peter (Susan) and Nancy. Also survived by his many nieces and nephews. Don was larger than life and he lived that life to the fullest. As Captain Crunch of the Brigus he headed up the party patrol on the Rideau River and later Georgian Bay. He gave back to the boating community through his leadership role within the local power squadron. We'll miss you Finny. In heaven there ain't no beer. A Celebration of Don’s Life will be held in Ottawa this summer. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Hilltop Manor.
