Passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday May 9, 2013 in his 87 th year. Beloved husband of Audrey (nee Kitchen). Loving father and grandfather of Keith (Susan) and their children Andrew, Gillian and Geoff, Corinne Rivers (Richard Chambers), Janice Ray (Jack) and their son Matthew, Wendy Pollard (Bryan) and their children Meghann, Melanie, Mandy and Mark. Also survived by his sister Gloria Heimbecker (Rich) and 9 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Elenore Rivers, and his brother Russell. Don was born in Kitchener on June 4, 1926, and has lived in Cambridge for the past 57 years. A member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends at Coutts Funeral Home 96 St. Andrews St. Cambridge on Tuesday May 14, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 P. M. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church 63 Grand Avenue Cambridge on Wednesday May 15, 2013 at 11 A. M. Interment Memory Gardens Breslau. As expressions of sympathy donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation or St. Paul’s Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.
