With great sadness, her family announces that Liz passed away, while surrounded by loved ones, on Tuesday, December 15, 2020.

Beloved wife and best friend of Kelly Aitchison for 40 years. Loving mother of Linsay (Kent) O'Neill, Krista (Francis) Duchaine, and James (Briana McDowell) Aitchison. Proud and loving Granny to grandchildren Madison, William, Brianna, and Cailin and great-grandchildren Austin and Alex. She will also be lovingly remembered by her mother Cathy Fisk, brother David (Elizabeth) Fisk, sister Deb Sorley, mother-in-law Linda Aitchison, sisters-in-law Kim (Gary) and Kathy, brother-in-law Keith (Sandy) many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Liz was born and grew up in Niagara Falls. She loved living there because it was an exciting place.

Liz and Kelly moved with their young family to Cambridge and over the years, Liz worked at several places, most recently as a greeter at Costco.

She was a very artistic and creative person, she loved knitting, crocheting, Paint Nights with her friends (or family) and animals. She was also a very good baker, paying special attention to the little details so that her results were works of art and reflective of her personality but the most important thing in her life was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

I knew Liz from 2003-2006. She was kind, loving and honest. Liz offered me nothing but kindness and kinship as long as I knew her. My life is richer for having known her and her family.

Peace be with you all.

The summer was full with boats and fun and Mom. Mom in the aft cabin sleeping soundly, tucked away to my surprise.
These are the memories I'm so glad to have to balance the sadness Mom and I will have while missing you.
Knitting socks for Angels already I bet...save a pair for me ...💔

Working with Liz wasn’t just work family she was a true friend. The many painting nights together followed by us exchanging colourings we had done and our Friday breakfasts before covid happened I’ll never forget. You were one of a kind and will always live on in my heart. Rest easy my friend until we meet again.

My sincerest condolences on Liz’s passing. I haven’t been in touch with Liz since she moved away after high school. We were friends living across the street from each other and would walk to all of our three schools together. I have many memories of my childhood friend including sleepovers, playing ping pong in her basement and listening to Elton John records. I remember her infectious laugh and fun times together. Miss you Liz! My thoughts and prayers go out to your lovely family.
