Emilia Freitas Braga

Peacefully passed away on Monday, Novemeber 28th, 2016 at Stirling Heights LTC with her loving family at her side at the age of 83. She is together again with her beloved husband Jose (1991). Loving mother to Hilda (Antonio) Reis, Ezaltina (Jose) Sousa, Joseph (Delores), Natalia (John) Resendes, Zelia (George) Benttencort and Lucy (Dean) Nelson. Proud avó to ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Dearest sister to Antonio (Arminda) Sousa. Predeceased by her parents Antonio and Rosa Sousa along with three sisters and one brother. Emilia will be lovingly remembered by her extended family and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1st, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge (519-621-1650). A Funeral Mass will take place the following day, on Friday, December 2nd, 2016 at St. Gregory’s Parish, 10 St. Gregory’s Drive, Cambridge at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association in Emilia’s memory. A very special thank you the wonderful staff of Stirling Heights LTC.
