Emily Catherine Mann Eddy

April 2nd, 1907 - December 29th, 2012

Emily Catherine Eddy RN of Cambridge Ontario, passed away peacefully on December 29th, 2012 at the Fairview Mennonite Nursing Home in Cambridge, in her 105th year. Beloved mother of Carolyn Ann Eddy (2008). Loving aunt of Marilynne Robinson of Brantford, Ontario and David Mann of Kingston, Ontario. Predeceased by her brothers Harry Charles Mann and Andrew Mann. Emily was a graduate of the Brantford General Hospital School of Nursing (1920’s), and was the last living member of her class. Emily spent many wonderful years as a Registered Nurse in Brantford and Cambridge. She will be remembered fondly by many of her “children” in the Cambridge school system. My great appreciation goes to the nursing staff of the Fairview Mennonite Nursing Home for her care in her final days and for the care Emily received during her time in their care. You are all wonderful nurses and the love you showed for Emily shone through in the care she received each and every day. At Emily’s request cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Burial to take place on Monday January 7th, 2013 at Scotland Cemetery, Scotland, Ontario at 1pm.
