Estelle Marie Mercier

Loving wife of Marcel Mercier of 60 wonderful years. Cherished mother of Daniel Mercier (Mary Rowsell) and Bernard (Lina) Mercier. Adored grandmother of Julia and Sarah. Dear sister of Angele Goulet and Andre Bilodeau; sister-in-law of Michelle Dion, Marjolaine Tremblett, Diane Mercier and Marianne Bilodeau. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Hector and Monique Bilodeau, sister Rachelle Mercier, brother Guy Bilodeau and brothers-in-law Claude Mercier, Normand Goulet, Emile Dion and Egide Mercier.

Estelle radiated positivity, joy and love to everyone around her. All those who had the pleasure of knowing her felt the impact of her kind and caring heart. Nothing made her happier than spending time with her family and putting a smile on our faces. She always made time to help others, being a dedicated member of the Centre Communautaire Francophone of Cambridge for over 20 years. Even throughout her toughest battles, Estelle remained the strongest and most positive woman, forever being an inspiration to her granddaughters and to all. Her loss will be felt tremendously, but the memories of her love and grace will remain in our hearts forever.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the Palliative care nurses and doctors for their excellent care and compassion for Estelle. We have the utmost respect for their dedication and positive energy. We would also like to express our sincere thanks to the many family members who helped support us during Estelle’s last few weeks.

To honor Estelle’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received on Friday, February 25th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrew’s Street, Cambridge. Those wishing to attend will need to register in advance by clicking https://signup.com/go/hybderV

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice in her name.
