

Born in Weston Ontario, Esther began a number of significant relocations in her life. She moved with her family to Cambridge Ontario (then Galt), where she attended St. Andrew’s Public School, and Galt Collegiate Institute. She attended Moody Bible College in Chicago, returned home, and married in Cambridge. She has 3 surviving Children; Christine Crawford (nee Gillis) and husband Bob, Stephen Gillis and wife Peggy, and Marie Dickson (nee Gillis).
Esther remarried, and moved to Germany in 1976. She was predeceased by her husband Kurt Max Walter Andreas of Berlin. She leaves behind a daughter, and good friend, Sabine Kirschbach (nee Andreas) of Berlin, and brothers in law, Werner Andreas (wife Christel) of Datteln German, Manfred Andreas (wife aCrola) of Berlin, and her good friend and sister in law Inge Gericke of Kitchener Ontario.
Esther was predeceased by 2 beloved grandchildren Nathaniel Alexander Crawford Gillis (2003) Oliver Patrick Schutz ( 2013). She will be fondly remembered by her nine remaining grandchildren: Andrew Kuwabara, Spencer Crawford, Mckenzie Crawford, Christopher Schutz, Danielle Schutz, Nicki Burden (nee Schutz), Tyler Dickson, Jens Kirschbach, and Cameron Gillis.
Esther was the tenth child of the Cameron clan: Father John, and mother Dora. She will be fondly remembered by a large number of nieces and nephews, as well as her loving brother and sister in law Donald and Phyllis Cameron. She will be greeted in heaven by so many loving friends and relatives.
Esther lived her life courageously, and with a great sense of adventure. She moved back to Canada in 2002, where she lived in her family home in Mount Forest until relocating back to Cambridge in 2015.
There will be a celebration of Esther’s life held in Cambridge Ontario at Coutts Funeral Home from 12:30 to 4:00 pm on July 22, 2017.
In lieu of gifts and flowers, memorial donations in memory of Esther can be made to the St Luke’s Foundation, care of St Luke’s Place in Cambridge Ontario.
