Dearest poppy, I have spent most of my life missing you as you have often lived so far away; but i always will treasure the times i did get to spend with you. going to the store for you to buy sweets for you and scratching off lotto tickets when i was way too young to be at it! My favourite memory with poppy is us planting maple trees in the yard on Bell Island. We would go out to them daily to water them and talk about how big they would grow; being 4 years old I thought they would be something like Jack and the beanstalk size, he never told me any different.  Loves ya lots pop, miss you always❤️

May you find peace and solace in the memories you shared with both your Mom (Eva) and Dad (Fred).  Celebrate the lives they both lived and the legacy they both leave behind to you as their children and grandchildren and great-children.

As Mom's brother and our uncle, Fred,  we always felt his calm presence;  his respect for himself and his siblings and their families.  He held a special place in  Mom's (Susie's) heart and she treasured the visits from him and your Mother when they visited home.  When they returned to Bell Island to live,  Fred and Eva were a great comfort to our family - especially  when both Mom and Dad were struggling with their diagnosis and they were also a great comfort to us when they passed away.  Their presence was greatly appreciated and lives on in our hearts.

May these memories always bring you warmth and gratitude for having such special parents and grandparents.

You are all in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
