Passed away peacefully after a full, long, life on July 22, 2010 at the Stirling Heights Long Term Care Centre at the age of 102. Predeceased by loving husband Herbert Albert Hooker in 1981. Lovingly remembered by children Donald (Margaret), Mabel "Ruth" Hooper, Robert James and friend Beryl, and Judith Buitenhuis. Cherished grandmother to Michael, Mark (Lina) Buitenhuis, Glen (Tammy) Buitenhuis, and greatgrandmother to Rachel Buitenhuis, Brianne Buitenhuis, Megan Buitenhuis, and Cameron Buitenhuis. Sister of Margaret Sweeney and Barbara Johnston and predeceased by brother Donald Webster and sister Dorothy Bennett. Ruth will be missed by many relatives and friends. A memorial service will take place at the T. LITTLE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 223 Main Street, on Wednesday July 28, 2010 at 1pm. Interment to follow at Mount View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Diabetes Association.
