Howard Benjamin Cottrill passed away at home on January 8, 2014. He was the son of Esther and George Cottrill. He had four brothers: Mervin, Vern, Len, and Albert. He was married to Pauline Marie (nee Watson) and were together for 42 years until Pauline’s death in 1997. Howard leaves behind five children: Brian, Valerie, Michael, Crystal, and Jeffrey, and six grandchildren: Suzanne, Aaron, Sandra, Richard, Liam, and Rosalyn.
Howard grew up in Huntsville, Ont. where he worked at his father's lumber mill and later as a lumberjack. He later moved to the GTA where he supported his family as a printer. He resided in Cambridge, Ont. for the last four years.
Howard always had a smile and a joke, albeit usually lame, for everyone and looked forwarded to the social gatherings in his apartment complex where he developed lasting relationships with friends he held dear.
He will be remembered for his generous spirit and quiet, unassuming ways and always had a helping hand for anyone.He will live on in the hearts and memories of many.
