James was predeceased by his beloved wife, Edna “Peggy” Williams, with whom he shared 58 wonderful years of marriage. He is lovingly remembered by his devoted daughter, Vicki; his cherished granddaughter, Lyndsay (Adam); and his treasured great-grandchildren, Jacob, Ethan, and Zachary. James will forever remain in the hearts of his nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his siblings: sisters Margaret (Paul), and Doreen (Bill), and brother Jack (Betty).
Born in Cardiff, Wales, James later immigrated to Canada with his wife Edna to begin their life together, a journey rooted in love, resilience, and hope. James had a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures in life. He found great joy in gardening, watercolor painting, and sail boating, pursuits that reflected his calm nature and creative spirit. During his retirement years, he enjoyed playing bridge at the Durward Centre and going for daily walks. James also took great pleasure in walking the family dog, Suzy.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Saint Luke’s Place for their compassionate care, kindness, and support. Their dedication and attentiveness helped make James’ final years comfortable and meaningful, and their care will always be deeply appreciated.
