As young man in sales for an Animal Health Company, I called on Jim Ross (Grand Valley Fortifiers) as my largest customer in 1988. After a year of building relationship, Jim offered me a job to come and work for his company. I remember the gentle, kind deposition that characterized Jim. He always talked about his employees and it was obvious that he saw each of them as someone he could equip and mentor. I was also encouraged that prayer and talk about God was part of their sales meetings. I never did take the job offer, but a number of years later when I became a born again believer (October 2002), God orchestrated it that I would meet Jim again at MBC. I was always encouraged after speaking with Jim before I was a believer, but God took it to a whole new level when we talked at MBC. I am inspired to continue to be a great ambassador for Jesus because of mentors like Jim Ross. Heaven is having a celebration right now as Jim comes home to his Father in Heaven.

Jim was a mentor and a great friend for many years. I was honoured to be able to spend 2 days with him earlier this year driving the roads of our territory in Eastern Ontario and visiting with some of the farms that I served before my retirement. His love of visiting his customers was evident. The service celebrating his life was a true testament to the incredible life he lived and the model he was for us all. Thank you Jim for all you have given us. Our deepest sympathies to all in his family.
Sincerely

To the Ross Family,
I just wanted to take a moment to send our thoughts and prayers to you during this difficult time. I was able to attend the memorial virtually and Uncle Jim was such a dear and special man. The service was a beautiful representation of his life. He was a man of God and must be so appreciative and greatful to be reunited with Aunt Elaine. Very sorry we were not able to attend in person. Jim will be missed. God Bless!

For decades I have appreciated Jim's interest and generosity for the Guelph Bible Conference Centre. For years Jim donated annuals and more from the greenhouse at GVF. After that we selected and planted annuals, up to 2200 a few years ago, and Jim covered the cost. So many conference guests over the years commented on the summer beauty at the Conference Centre but few knew that it was made possible through Jim's generosity. Thank you Lord for Jim's great and widespread contribution to the Christian community. Allan Poyntz

Jim has been one of my favorite donor visits when i came to Ontario. Every time I met with Jim he shared passionately what God had called him to do for his kingdom. And how God has been faithful to him and his company through the years! Jim clearly was on mission for God in supporting so many organizations! Trinity Western University and I have been so blessed by this faithfulness.

Jim has been a wonderful example to so many!
