Joao Soares Cabral

Passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2011, at his residence, in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Conceicao Cabral. Loving father of Cidalia and Joe Puim, Yvonne and Carlos da Silva, Anna and Manuel Dias, and Liz Camacho. Also survived by his loving grandchildren, Gerry and Kristie Puim, Michael and Tina Puim, Matthew and Angela Puim, Sandra and Nilton Alves, Eric and Jennifer da Silva, Sonia da Silva and Terry DaCosta, Andrew Dias and Jody Wilkens, Kyle Dias and Lisa Espinola, Megan Camacho and Darryl Moore. Also sadly missed by his great-grandchildren, Austin and Karissa Puim, Owen and Joshua Puim, Braiden and Jerica da Silva, Anthony and Arianna Alves, Teegan DaCosta, and Baby Boy Dias. Also survived by his sister-in-law Guimar Soares, and many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by his parents Antonio and Maria Cabral, his daughter Maria Manuela, brothers and sisters Manuel Cabral, Antonio Reis, Angelina Falcao, Maria Cabral, and Ilda Figueiredo. The family will received friends at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews St., Cambridge on Monday, July 25, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at Our Lady at Fatima R.C. Church, Elgin Street South, Cambridge on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 10 a.m. Interment Mt. View Cemetery. Parish rosary will be recited at the funeral home Monday evening at 8 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
