John “Cy” Charles McCormick passed away on February 12th, 2019 at the age of 75 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital with his loving family by his side. John was a real estate agent for over 30 years and actively involved as a coach for minor hockey, as well as, managing The Cambridge Bulldogs for several years. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Gwendoline McCormick. Survived by his loving wife of 41 years and best friend Pauline (Polly/Lumpy). John will be greatly missed by his sister Jill Stephenson of Cambridge (late Ed Bradley) and brother Eric (Valerie) of Huntsville. Beloved father of Kelly McCormick of Port Elgin, Caroline Costa (Aires) of Cambridge. Grandfather to Jesse McCormick, Cody McCormick, Tyler McCormick, Amanda Costa, Matthew Costa, and Sarah Costa. John will be fondly remembered by his 4 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews Janice, Treva, Cory, and Joshua and many cousins. Friends and family are invited to join the family on Tuesday, February 19th from 12-2pm with a funeral service to follow at 2pm at Coutts Funeral Home and Cremation Centre located at 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge. A reception will be held in the funeral home lounge, following the service. A private burial to be held at a later date.
