John Werkhoven, age 66, passed away on Saturday, January 25 2025 at Freeport Hospital in Kitchener, ON. He was born on December 23, 1958 in Brampton, ON. He was a devoted husband to Caroline and a loving father to Jaclyn, Rachel and Kristen.
John adored his family and made a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of knowing him. He is survived by his wife Caroline (nee Windhorst) and his daughters Jaclyn (Craig Pilkington), Rachel (Adam Wells) and Kristen (Greg Brown). He was an adored grandfather to Judah, Jayden, Victoria, Skyla, Fynn, Wesley, Hudson and Emilie. He is predeceased by his father John. He is survived by his mother, Menny and his siblings Alice (Randy Groen), Rick (Marcia Werkhoven) and Wayne (Bernice Werkhoven).
John was hard-working and dedicated. He spent his entire career at international truck dealerships where he was known for his leadership, honesty and integrity. Despite his many responsibilities, he always made time for his family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31 at 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Forward Church in Cambridge. A funeral service will be held at the same location on Saturday, February 1 at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers the family would ask that you make a donation to Forward Church Cambridge Youth program which held a very special place in John's heart.
Caroline and her girls would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Koke, Dr. Sherman and the Geriatric assessment team at Freeport Hospital for their exceptional care and support.
We find comfort in the knowledge that our precious husband and father is now in the loving arms of Jesus.
