Passed unexpectedly at Woodstock General Hospital February 2 at 9:44am
Born on August 27, 1990 in Corner Brook Newfoundland, Jon became a resident of Cambridge, Ontario where he lived with his wife and son. Loving husband to Rachelle, daddy to Jonathan Jr. and pets Shado and Winnie. Devoted son to mother Doris Day (Michael) and father Jack Wheaton, brother to Colin Day (Beverley). Uncle to Cody, Kenisha and Rebecca. Son-In-Law to Rick and Alma Biggin, “Sissy”-in-law Melissa Biggin-Schoenherr (Tom) and niece Madison. God children; Janna Gould-House and Brayden Saunders. Predeceased by his grandfather Claude Wheaton, his grandparents Daniel and Nina Hindy. He will be also sadly missed by a large number of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and coworkers.
Jon was a devoted husband who always showed his love and respect to his wife Rachelle. He was a very proud father of Jonathan (daddy’s manny Johnny) and had an abundance of patience with him. He had mountains of different things he wanted to teach Jonathan. Jon loved nature. A peaceful day with a drink and a fishing rod and he was set. He spent his summers with his family and friends at different parks with his travel trailer in tow. He loved his three wheeler and was always ready for an adventure. Winters, he enjoyed skidooing. He had a passion for fixing things, you name it he would fix it. If he didn’t know how, he would work for hours til he learned. He loved giving a helping hand to others. Loved the back country in Newfoundland and Mitch’s cabin. Jon was always down for a good party surrounded by his friends. He also, would never turn down a good game on Xbox with the boys. He had a saying for everything, “easy now”. Jon has graciously given the gift of life through organ donation. He will live on, not only in memories, but also as a meaningful piece of three lives.
See ya bumbye Jon!
