OBITUARY

Krista Margaret Messier

Play Tribute Movie

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce Krista’s passing on Friday, November 15th, 2019 at the age of 32, in the comfort of her home with her sister Jenna by her side.

Beloved daughter of Joel and Joy Messier, dearest sister and friend to Jenna Messier (Kyle Penney) and Brian (Stefanie) Messier, loving and doting aunt to Haley, Charlotte and Marcus and treasured granddaughter to Pauline Messier. A wonderful friend, missing her are her three cats: Elizabeth, Otis and Baby along with longtime friends Amy Rasso, Michelle Rogalski and Sam Long. Krista will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.

Full of colour and spunk, Krista made friends where ever she went, and those friends, whether they knew it or not, had their lives changed for the better. She would not hesitate to question your knowledge of movie trivia, or the Royal family, and would always urge you to vote. She has left behind a rainbow sized hole in this world.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019 1 p.m. at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge (519-621-1650) with one hour of visitation beginning at 12 p.m. Interment to follow at Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge.

As expressions of sympathy, donations made to your local Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.

A very special thank you to Krista’s team of doctors, nurses, PSW’s and physiotherapists who have been with her over the last two years. Your care, compassion and friendship has meant so much.

I was so very sorry to hear of Krista’s passing. I always remember her as a hilarious, quirky, and fun-loving girl whose friendship I miss tremendously. High school would have been a lot less entertaining without her there and I have many fond memories to cherish. My most heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.

Very saddened to hear about Krista's passing. She worked for me for a time at Microplay and remained connected to several employees there. She was always a pleasure to talk to. My condolences to the family.

Whenever I would see Krista at Noah's Ark she was smiling, laughing or helping- there was not a mean bone in her body- My daughter always seemed to have a hard time at drop off but if Krista was there, she was always so good at making her feel welcome, understood and safe - 5 minutes with Krista and she would forget I was even there while they laughed and played- thank you Krista for all of your love and friendship for us both - you will be sincerely missed - I am so sorry to those who loved you and always will ~ xoxo

Sending the warmest condolences to the Messier family and all of the people who had the pleasure of knowing Krista. I was one of those lucky people. Krista was always such a beacon of light to be around. When we were teenagers, she lightened the mood with a joke when we were being moody and her style always put a smile on my face. She was friendly to everyone around her and she made everyone feel comfortable. The world has lost such a true blue person but it was an honor to know her. xo

We are so shocked and extremely saddened by this news. Krista was so wonderfully full of life and enduring hope . She took care of both of our boys in the first years of their lives and they loved her dearly. Not to mention calming the nerves of first time parents leaving their baby for the first time.

Krista, you will be missed greatly, remembered often and spoken of with love and thankfulness.

Krista shared meals with us at our home, with her fellow daycare workers as well. There was always plenty of laughing and teasing during these dinner parties.
Most importantly, she provided amazing love and care to our boys during their daycare days and they truly loved her and loved when she came to visit. We miss you terribly Krista and believe that someday we’ll meet again, share more laughs and talk about cats. XO
