She is the beloved mother of Valdomira Sousa (Joe), John Sousa (Edie), Linda Melo (Joe Pereira), Grace DaCosta (Manny), Paula Amaral (Herc), and Lucille Medeiros (John). Proud Avó of 9 grandchildren, cherished Vavó to 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Floriano Medeiros. Predeceased by her husbands, Simon Sousa (1994) and Antonio Silva (2023). Also predeceased by her siblings Gilda Careira, Antonio Medeiros, and Tiberio Medeiros.
Ludovina was the rock of her family and leaves behind a strong and beautiful legacy. Her love will always remain with those who knew her, and her family will forever cherish the memories they shared with her and carry them close in their hearts.
Relatives and friends will be received at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge on Thursday, June 4th, 2026, from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. with prayers recited at 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 5th, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 185 Elgin Street S., Cambridge, with interment to follow at Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge.
