

Mary Ellen Law (Kamke) has gone to be with her beloved JT (John T. Law), on December 12, 2016. She leaves to mourn her beloved daughter Kathy McKinnon (Don), beloved son Thomas (Susan), grandchildren Scott, Kate, Michael and Christopher McKinnon, Morgan and Patrick Law. Also loved by nine great grandchildren Miranda Hargraves, Lola and Finn McKinnon, Zoe, Michael and Jack Innanen, Drew and Owen McKinnon, and Huckleberry Law. Predeceased by sister Adelaide Johns, survived by dear brothers John and Charles Kamke (Virginia), and sister Barbara Doyle. Predeceased by brother and sister-in-law Joseph and Mary Dembeck. Beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews, especially Nancy Richert (John), Michael Dembeck (Janet), Chris Arnold (Dan), Susan Procaccini (d) (Nick). Known as Mamie to her family, Mary Ellen was a frequent traveler throughout her life, and a valuable volunteer at a number of hospitals, churches and charities. She was quick to win a game of cards with friends and grandchildren alike. Mary Ellen embarked on many adventures, living in Toronto and Ottawa, and moving to Cambridge in her final years. We thank Queen's Square Terrace Retirement Home for their care and kindness in the past few years. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 16th at 11:00 am at St. Patrick’s Parish (53 Wellington St. Cambridge) with a Committal Service following on Saturday, December 17th at 12 noon at Holy Cross Cemetery (8361 Yonge St. Thornhill). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to SickKids Foundation in Toronto or Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation.
