Melinda was a 1st cousin once removed, that I never met.  I feel for the family in their loss.  As I too lost a family because of a family fight back a generation ago.  Melinda may you rest in Peace.

All of our hearts have been saddened over the last few days after hearing this news.

Nothing I can say at this time is going to help you guys feel better or take away the sadness and loss you are feeling and I am so sorry about that.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of my professor. She was a wonderful woman and an inspiring teacher who helped me a lot. I truly respected her for her dedication and kindness. It is very unfortunate that she is no longer with us. My heartfelt condolences to her family during this difficult time. 🙏🏻

Melinda was truly the main reason I would show up to class in the early mornings. She would always greet us with the biggest smile, make the funniest jokes, and had the biggest heart. You could tell she wanted her students to succeed, and would do anything she could in her power to help you succeed.
She made a lasting impact on myself and the whole class. She was my professor for 4 different classes throughout the 2 year program I was in, and I don’t know what I would have done without her. Her kindness, and everything she taught us will always live forever. The next generation of PR professionals will always have a piece of her with us. I will remember her in everything I do in my future career, and I am sending the biggest hugs to family and friends.

I was a student of Melinda’s back around 2020-2022.

 Every class that I had her as a professor was an amazing one filled with laughter and joy. She’d love to joke around and have fun with the class, never a negative thing to say and was always gentle and kind hearted. One of my favourite professors I had during my time in College. I still talk about her to this day with my wife and friends.

Thank you for always improving my mood no matter how stressful school got and thank you for the life skills you taught me.

As a former student of Melinda's I was utterly shocked and heartbroken to hear the news of her passing. I was part of the first cohort of graduates that Melinda got to teach every semester, it was only April that I graduated and she hugged me telling me how much I deserved it.

I was typically the first one to arrive to our class and that usually meant I had some time in the classroom where it was just Melinda and I, and we would talk about anything and everything. She truly had all of her student's best interests at heart. She pushed us all to be the best we could be, because she knew that we had it in us, and her unwavering support always meant the world. 

I'll stay thankful to have experienced the PR program with her, because we know how much work she put into it all. It was a true passion of hers and it always showed.

To her family, I hope you know how much she talked about you, it always brought such a smile to her face to be able to tell us about her loved ones. We were always given the updates on how everyone was, and their latest endeavours. 

Sending nothing but love and strength to everyone her wisdom and kindness reached, I hope you know how many lives Melinda touched throughout her life. She will remain a prominent figure in my memories, from one of the most intense times of my life.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Melinda's sudden passing. It was such a pleasure teaching with her at the college. She was a diligent and caring person and professor who will be deeply missed by colleagues and students alike. I am so very, very sorry for your tremendous loss.

We send our deepest condolences with the loss of Melinda. We often watched the boys play together, and experienced the highs and lows of those games, too. Melinda was an amazing hockey mom, and to top it off, an incredible goalie mom!! She knew the game well and she was extremely dedicated to supporting Carson. She advocated for him when needed and was his biggest fan alongside you, Derek. We are sending love and strength to you both.
