Dear Alles Family: It has been a privilege to know your dear Mother, Mert (as many of us knew her). She was truly an inspiration to so many of us during our high school years at Chippewa Secondary School, and many of us remained Mert's friends for life. She was a force of nature and her legacy lives on in all of our lives. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Family Alles:
In the past ten years I have been in the business of caring for the elderly and in all that time I have never heard of anyone who has reached such a venerable age who has remained so willingly engaged with life ! Myrt must have been so well loved and supported that she wished to continue in your midst.I celebrate her tenacity and your gifts of self to her. God Bless You. Hugs, C Wendy Shaver
