Pasquale Romeo

Pasquale Romeo, aged 85, of Cambridge, Ontario, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026. He was born on January 18, 1940, in Siderno, Italy, to Maria Giuseppa and Giuseppe Romeo. Pasquale was the beloved husband of Carmelina Romeo, with whom he shared a devoted marriage since 1966. He was a loving father to Joe (Cathie), Frank (Claire), and Marco (Alexandra).

He will forever be remembered as Nonno by his cherished grandchildren: Noah, Chandler, Chloe, Orion, Penlee, Dante, and Esme. Pasquale was a dear brother to Giuseppina (Giovanni) and a brother-in-law to Leo (Joanne) Ignazio (Carmen). His memory will also be held close by many extended family members and friends.

In 1962, Pasquale made the move to Canada, where he began building his life and legacy. In 1964, he opened his own business and worked as a dedicated hairstylist. Pasquale took immense pride in his craft and served the community with passion for many years. Outside of his professional life, Pasquale found great joy in gardening, making wine, savoring home-cooked meals, and maintaining a commitment to fitness. After retiring at the age of 55, he continued to lead an active lifestyle, often taking long walks and appreciating the simple pleasures of life. Pasquale treasured time with his family and friends, especially during Sunday lunches, where he could share his love of food and togetherness. He was known for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making each gathering a highlight in his life. During his retirement, Pasquale enjoyed spending time in Florida, relaxing on the beach, and soaking up the sunshine—moments that brought him true happiness and fulfillment.

Pasquale adored his grandchildren, always seeking ways to make them laugh. His gentle and kind nature endeared him to all who knew him. He loved people, appreciated good humor, and his warmth and laughter will be deeply missed.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Fairview Mennonite Nursing Home for the compassionate care provided to Pasquale over the past two years.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at T. Little Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Cambridge, for visitation from 2:00–4:00 PM and 7:00–9:00 PM. A Mass will be celebrated on January 21 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick’s Parish, 53 Wellington Street, Cambridge. Interment will follow at Parklawn Cemetery.
