Paul Roger Pearse

September 3, 1961October 3, 2020

With heavy hearts, we announce Paul’s passing on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto at the age of 59.

Paul is the beloved husband to Barbara Pearse (nee Maddock), loving and proud father to Tyler and Kyle Pearse, cherished son to Bryan and Joyce Pearse, son-in-law to Joyce Maddock and dearest brother to Andrew (Eleanor), David (Ann) and Jill (Dave). Paul will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his extended family and friends. Paul’s firm faith in the return of the Lord Jesus Christ and the resurrection of the dead carried him through his 12 year battle with cancer.

Oh Paul...Uncle Joel and I were so saddened to learn of your falling asleep in Christ. But in saying that we know that your next waking moment will be the Kingdom....and how very blessed we are to be a part of that glorious day. You will be so missed by many :-( :-(

I was blessed to know you and also to have the chance I did in teaching you at Sunday School. :-) but not only that.... but also in knowing that the return of Christ is soon and we will all be raised God willing to immortality. Rest in peace, my dear Paul.....and God willing we will all live together in that glorious kingdom where there will be no pain, and no suffering from the weakness of the flesh.... Come quickly Lord Jesus

When I think of Paul, I have so many memories that come to mind. I spent my childhood at the Pearse residence, going to water parks, running around the neighbourhood and having fun. I remember Paul out in the garage, listening to R.E.M and anytime I hear them I always think of Paul. He was an amazing man, friend and father and I know he is going to be missed by so many. Sending Barb, Kyle and Tyler so much love.

When I think of Paul I can see a twinkle in his eye and a ready smile. He had a way of drawing people to him and enjoying their company. It is a rare gift . He will be fondly remembered. I send my love to his family and will keep you in my prayers. Sue Flynn

It's been many years since I last saw you, when I taught Tyler Sunday school but knowing that I knew you, my heart was filled. You are a special person, dedicated to the Lord and family. May you rest in peace my old friend. You will be missed by many as you touched many hearts.

To Barb and the Pearse family, We are so sorry to hear that Paul fell asleep in the Lord last Saturday. He now rests in the hope of the resurrection. He no longer is in pain and he awaits our Lord's return. Unfortunately, for Barb and the rest of the family it is a very painful time. He will be sadly missed. Our prayers are with all the family at this very difficult time.
Deepest condolences from all The McKay family. May God comfort you. You will see him again healthy and strong. God Bless! The McKay family.

Rest In Peace Paul, so sorry you had to go yet so glad your suffering is over. Paul meant more to me than he knew. He was an example of what I could become despite where I came from, this became especially evident as I got to know his children over time. He was a rock that came from a hard place, yet allowed God to soften him, and it really shows and shines in Kyle and Tyler. My prayers now turn to you Barbara Kyle and Tyler, for your healing, and understanding, of what life is to be without him. May you all find peace in time.

With love, Rick.
