

In hospital in Cambridge on Sunday, May 26, 2013. Beloved husband of Lillian Cole. Dear father of Steven (Lisa), Theresa Tremblay (Jacques), Mike (Shelley) and Julie Cuming (John). Survived by sisters Doreen Felice (Joe), Helen Nickason (Nick) and Peg James (Cliff). Predeceased by his parents Lionel and Beatrice (Tuff) and brothers John (Beatrice), Fred (Beverly) and Dave (Shirley) and sister, Marjorie Bedford (Late Robert). Loving Grandfather of Daniel, Stephanie and Jean-Francois Tremblay, Greg and Chris Emberson, Tom and Claire Cuming. Bob was born in Guelph, July 27, 1934. His musical career began in the Guelph Police Boys Band where he learned to play the trombone and the euphonium. He later joined the Canadian Guards Band in Petawawa for three years before returning to Guelph. After teachers' college, he taught for three years at John F. Ross Collegiate and then became the chairman of the music department at Centennial Collegiate. He retired from Centennial in 1996 and has been fishing and playing music ever since. Life member of AF of M Local 226. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge on Friday, May 31, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial services will be held at St. John's Anglican Church, 567 Queenston Road, Cambridge on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 1 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, a donation to Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
