Bob leaves his cherished wife of 48 years - Dianna “Di” (nee Galway), beloved sons - Scott (Laurie) and Shane (Gina) and three loving grandchildren - Justin, Chloe, and Eric. He also leaves to mourn his four brothers, Hubert (Ivy), Wayne, Lloyd (Barbara) and Gary; two sisters, Madonna Cole (Raymond d. 1991) and Lorraine Galway (Michael d. 2001); three brothers in-law, Johnny Galway (Gloria), Raymond “Fox” Galway (Maria) of Bell Island, and Paul Galway of Labrador City, and four sisters in-law, Alice Tatai (Bill) of Kitchener, and Eileen Dixon (Stewart), and Carol Galway of Labrador City, and Cynthia Skehans (Terry) of Bell Island. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Elsie (nee Clarke); parents in-law, John and Mary Galway (nee Brazil); sisters, Lynda (d. 1990) and Debbie Boone (d. 2019) (Bruce d. 2019); brothers, Gordon Jr. (d. 2019), Gerald (d. 2017) (Joan), and Glen (d. 2013); brother in-law, Gabriel Galway (d. 1995) (Wilma); and sister in-law Margaret Galway Ashford (d. 2009) (John “Jack”).
Bob worked at Budd Canada in Kitchener for 42 years.
Family will receive friends at T. LITTLE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 223 Main Street, Cambridge (519-623-1290) on Monday, December 30th for Visitation from 6 - 9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Parish Church, 53 Wellington Street, Cambridge on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. Inurnment will take place at a later date on Bell Island, Newfoundland.
