Robert Albert Gallant

Bob passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Friday, July 26, 2013, in his 75th year. Beloved husband of the late Karin (Patzer) Gallant (2005). Devoted and proud father of Steven (Kathy) of Guelph. Will be sadly missed by his brother Donald (Alda) of Cambridge, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by ten brothers and sisters. Fondly remembered by the Tiel and Taylor families of Niagara, the O’Donnell family of Guelph, and his many friends, especially Debbie and Terry Kennedy of Cambridge. A native of Amherst, Nova Scotia, Robert moved to Cambridge in 1954. It was there that he met and married Karin, his love and best friend for 42 years. As a supervisor at Strite Industries, he took great pride in both the work he did and the people with whom he worked for 36 years until his retirement in 2002. He was an avid card and cribbage player, as well as a loyal Habs fan. Friends will be received at T. LITTLE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE (519-623-1290), 223 Main Street, Cambridge from 7 – 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2013. The funeral service will be held in the T. Little Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment at Mount View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lisaard House of Cambridge, The Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington, or to a charity of your choice.
