Rodger Michael Lester

1937-2011

Rodger peacefully went to be with the Lord on Saturday November 5th, 2011 at Hilltop Manor, Cambridge. Born in Toronto, moving to Cambridge at an early age. Son of the late Marcus and Ethel Lester ( Smith). Loved brother of Marcus Lester (Lou) of Barrie Ontario and Della Buchholtz of Cave Creek Arizona. Rodger also will be missed by his nieces and nephews. A kind and gentle nature, always smiling and happy. He enjoyed life in the fast lane of bowling, and will be missed by his friends at Dickson Bowl and The Gospel Hall South Street Cambridge, where he attended faithfully each week. His passion for music, flowers and animals filled his life with happiness. Employed many years at Dominion Woollens Hespeler and Crosses Flowers Galt. Thanks to the care and compassion from the staff at Hilltop Manor. To Dr. Crosby and Dr. Matsuda for their care and support. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday November 12th 2011 at T. LITTLE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 223 Main Street Cambridge (519 623 1290) at 12pm. Visitation one hour prior. Officiating Mr. Ralph Pilkington and Mr. Phillip Watson. To carry on Rodgers love for animals, donations to Pet Patrol would be appreciated in lieu of flowers. Cards available at the Funeral Home.
