Peacefully passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 in his 96th year at Cambridge Memorial Hospital with family by his side. Lovingly remembered by his sons Allan (Wendy) of Ottawa and Mike (Carla) of Waterloo, Grandchildren Colin (Julia) of Waterloo, Jennifer (Lucas) and Ashley of Ottawa. He will be fondly remembered by his dear friend Marie Wiesel and her family. Predeceased by his wife Peggy (2001) and their son Colin (1968), parents Sidney Harold and Jessie Marion (nee Bettsworth) Drake, brothers Harold and Norman and sister Marion. Friends and family will be received on Thursday, November 3, 2016 from 7-9pm at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge (519-621-1650). A Funeral Service will take place the following day on Friday, November 4, 2016 at The New Apostolic Church, 64 Winston Blvd., Cambridge at 2pm with visitation one hour prior. Cremation is to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to The New Apostolic Church – Foreign Extension Fund in Roy’s memory would be appreciated.
