Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Wellington Hospice on December 31st, 2011 in her 76 year. Loving wife of 50 years to Gilbert. Cherished mom to Ken (Tina) Durnford and Cheryl Durnford. Forever missed Nan to Trisha (Bill) Van Arragon, Ashley (Wes) Durnford and Anthony (Megan) Moore. Dearly loved Nan to three Great grandchildren, Joshua, Cameron and Jacob. Ruth will always be remembered by sister Catherine Lazure and brothers Victor Atkins and Paul Atkins. Predeceased by siblings Leonard Atkins and Marion Fitzgerald. Ruth enjoyed playing euchre and loved spending time with her family. Family and friends will be received for visitation on Tuesday January 3rd from 7-9pm and again on Wednesday January 4th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at COUTTS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE 96 St. Andrews Street Cambridge 519 621 1650. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday January 5th at Maranatha Christian Reformed Church 94 ELGIN ST S Cambridge at 11am. Interment to follow at Parklawn Cemetery.
