Passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 1, 2017 with family at her bedside at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener. Loving wife to Jay Soomal of 42 wonderful years, beloved mother to Anita (Amarjit) Grewal, Sonny (Annu) Soomal and Erin (Robbie) Bahamra, proud Grandma to Aman, Anjali and Avleen Grewal and Diya, Miya and Ronik Soomal, daughter to Mohinder Kaur and the late Bawa Singh Takhar, dearest sister to Hardy (Balwinder) Takhar, Suki (Sarabjit) Takhar, Naginder (Nirmal) Keilah, Jassy (Harjeet) Basra and Bally (Gurpal) Soomal. Shinder will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her extended family and friends. A prayer service will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge (519-621-1650) followed by cremation at Holy Cross Crematorium, 620 Governor's Rd. E., Paris at 11 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations made in Shinder's memory to the Canadian Lung Association would be greatly appreciated.
