Passed away peacefully at Sunnyside LTC, on January 31, 2021.
Beloved husband of 57 years to the Late Susan (nee Langan). Cherished father of John and Linda and wonderful father-in-law to Richard Hatch. Loving grandfather to Thomas and Allan (Angela). Proud great- grandfather to Kyle, Lauren, Jason, and Lewis. He will also be missed by his sister Agnes (Keith), brothers Bill and Alex, and nieces and nephews in Scotland and England.
He was predeceased by his brothers David and John and sisters Margaret (Carr) and Mary (McCaig).
Thomas (Tom) and his immediate family emigrated from Scotland to Cambridge, ON in November of 1965. He worked at Babcock and Wilcox until retirement in 1989. Before coming to Cambridge, he worked at Babcock and Wilcox in Scotland and on the Clyde shipyards and helped to build the Queens Royal Yacht Britannia. He also did his apprenticeship on the British Railway Cowlairs, Glasgow.
Tom and Susan spent 18 wonderful winters in Florida and loved golfing. His brother John joined him for 2 years and he spent 4 years with Rick and Linda enjoying the Florida sunshine. He always had a smile for everyone he met.
The family want to thank Julie and the wonderful staff at Sunnyside, Shantz Hill for the wonderful care and support they gave to Tom.
To honour Thomas’s wishes Cremation has taken place and no public services will be held. Arrangements entrusted to the T. Little Funeral Home (519) 623-1290.
