Passed away peacefully at St. Andrews Terrace on Saturday September 22, 2012 in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Raimunda Sousa. Loving father of Mario and his wife Bernice of Ancaster and Virgilio of Cambridge. Also survived by his grandchildren Christina and Brent, his sisters Alda and Gilberta both of Portugal. Predeceased by his parents Lourindo and Almerinda Cordeiro, two brothers Luis and Jose and sisters Francilina and Noemia. Virgilio was born in the Azores on July 6, 1927, and has lived in Cambridge since 1960. The family will receive friends at Coutts Funeral Home 96 St. Andrews St. Cambaridge on Tuesday September 25, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 P. M. Funeral Mass will be held from St. Gregory’s R. C. Church 10 St. Gregory’s Dr. on Wednesday September 26, 2012 at 10 A. M. Interment Parklawn Cemetery. Parish Rosary will be held at the funeral home Tuesday evening at 8 P. M. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Andrews Terrace for their kindness given to Virgilio.
