With very heavy hearts and great sadness we announce that our beloved dad, grandfather and great-grandfather, Walter Gordon Scott, aka Gordie, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday November 28, 2021 at the age of 90.
He was a very loving father of Rosemarie Clarke (Fred Benedetti) and Lia Giunta Salinitri. He will be missed by his grandchildren, Tara Salinitri, Sampson Salinitri, Christopher Bland, Daniel Giunta, Corey Giunta, Nicholas Salinitri and Devin Salinitri (Jessica Chaput). He felt blessed in being a great-grandfather of Gemma, Ava and Bryson. Survived by his brothers Arthur Scott, Bruce Scott and Donny Scott, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his loving wife Lorna Halpin, his son Tony Giunta, his sister Margaret and his two sister-in-laws, both of whom were Barbara Scott.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at Coutts Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Visitors will be required to provide their names and telephone number for contact tracing purposes. Masks are required. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
