Wayne was one of our Tuesday guys that volunteered trimming vegetables at the Gleaners for many years. His faithful attendance demonstrated his compassionate heart for people in other parts of the world who struggle. Fond memories of Wayne arriving with his friend (Bev) for an early morning chat and getting set up for the day. One season, one of our farmers grew specialty cauliflower. We had received some PURPLE cauliflower. Clearly Nancy had never served up the purple cauliflower at home because Wayne asked right away, "So are we supposed to cut all the purple parts off?" By the next week, Wayne was wiser. We brought ORANGE cauliflower to his table, and he said with a twinkle in his eye, "So does this cauliflower come with the cheese already in it?" 😎

Much beloved brother-in-law. Hope you and Lyle are having lots of laughs together. Miss you both. Nancy, you couldn't have asked for a finer husband and father to your children. I know God will give you comfort.

We had good times with Wayne. We live in Arizona and didn't see Wayne and Nancy often, but cherish the times we had with them.
