Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family after a lengthy 21 year battle with Parkinson’s Disease, William Clayton Rees, in his 75th year. Predeceased by his parents Wm and Ella Rees (Bell Island); beloved 1st wife Carol (Noseworthy); brothers, Hubert (Ada) and Harold; sisters, Lillian (Jim) Bailey, Alice (June) Cobb and Violet (Bert) Bickford. Left to celebrate his life with fond and loving memories are his devoted wife, Paula (McNiven-Clouston); son, Barrie (Sally); step-daughter, Kimberly (Gord) Noftall; granddaughters, Chantelle and Nakita Rees; step-granddaughters Tori and Tara Noftall; loving sisters, Olive Tremblett, Una Skanes and Betty (Peter) Hems; sisters-in-law, Helen Rees, Muriel and Bernice Noseworthy, Helen and Barbara McNiven; brothers-in-law, David (Connie) McNiven, Greg McNiven and Gerald (Mary) Anstey as well as many nieces and nephews all of whom he loved dearly and they him. Also leaving to mourn are many special friends in particular Joe (Gen) Doyle, Doug Matchim & Ruby Simpson, Clayt (Diane) Puddester, Bill Dove and Alicia Ivey. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Wednesday, November 2nd , 2016 from 11 am – 9 pm, during which a prayer service will be celebrated at 7pm for all who wish to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Parkinson’s Society of Newfoundland & Labrador. A second visitation will be held at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge, ON on Friday November 4th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Service at Coutts Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, November 5th at 11 am, interment at Mountview Cemetery to follow.
