Ann DiCarlo, 95, of Mechanicsburg and formerly of Wynnewood, PA, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2022 at Bethany Village. Ann was born in Philadelphia on March 23, 1927 to the late Settimio (Samuel) and Merinda (Mildred) Pantano. She graduated from Philadelphia High School for Girls in 1944 and Immaculata College before marrying her late husband, Marino DiCarlo in 1948. From 1948 to 1959, they lived in Buffalo, NY and then settled in Wynnewood, PA to raise their family.
Ann moved to Bethany Village in 2006, where she made many dear friends. She was most recently a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg, after being a member of Good Shepherd Church for several years. Ann was a skilled bridge player and enjoyed many games with the Bridge Group on Tuesday afternoons. She was a wonderful cook and baker and delighted in making lavish holiday meals for her family over the years. She also enjoyed decorating, shopping and spending time with her family, friends and devoted caregivers.
Ann is survived by her daughters, Melinda (Peter) Joyce and Edith (Bruce) Stuhlman; grandchildren, Hope Joyce, Daniel Joyce, and Kimberly (Andrew) Wallover. In addition to her parents, Ann was predeceased by her husband Marino, her beloved son, Richard, her sisters Florence and Rita, and her brothers, Pat and Carl, as well as many friends.
Services will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. The family would appreciate masks being worn and social distancing while in Church. Burial will be immediately after at Calvary Cemetery in Conshohocken, PA.
