Born in Philadelphia, Anne Marie moved with her family to Centralia, Pennsylvania at the age of 6. She graduated with honors from Mount Carmel Catholic High School at just 17 years old, setting the tone for a life defined by intelligence, dedication, and quiet strength.
Anne Marie began her long and distinguished career at the Pennsylvania House of Representatives shortly after graduation. Over the course of nearly 40 years of service, she held a number of important roles. She started as a pool secretary to both Democratic and Republican House members, and her exceptional work quickly gained recognition. She went on to serve as Administrative Assistant to the Speaker of the House, and later as a vital member of the House Democratic leadership team. One of her most notable contributions was her role as a staff member during Pennsylvania’s 1968 Constitutional Convention – a moment of lasting impact in state history.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 45 years, Clancy Myer, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
