B'deau Anne Gange

B’deau Anne Gange, (nee Perkins), of Camp Hill, passed away January 16, 2020 at home. She was born August 30, 1934 in Newton, MA, daughter of the late Frank K. and Bertha B. (Arnold) Perkins. Anne was a graduate of Westbrook Jr. College in Maine and while in college was an avid tennis player. Anne was the Executive Secretary for the New England Counsel for Economic Development, during the 1960’s.

In early 1966, she met Robert Gange and in November, they were married. She and Robert moved several times but settled in Camp Hill in 1987. Anne worked for the Commonwealth for 20 years until she retired.

Anne had a tremendous sense of humor and had many adventures with her best friends since childhood, Ruth Gold and Barbara Patterson. She loved music especially “Joy to the World (3 Dog Night), “Mack the Knife” and “Hey Jude”. When her kids were younger, Sunday nights were family dinner night, followed by playing records and chasing each other around the house. Ann loved dogs and owned Duchess, Dusty and Candy over her adult life.

Anne enjoyed reading mystery novels, seeing Broadway plays, watching English detective programs, visiting NY and was a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan. In 1997, she had her 15 minutes of fame by appearing the Howard Stern show as “Grandma Anne Gange” asking celebrities provocative questions. Anne was excellent at journaling and kept calendar books throughout her married life, writing down everything from what she made for dinner, what she wore to work, what movies she saw to major events and celebrations.

Anne and Robert loved to travel and enjoyed visiting Hawaii, the United Kingdom, Europe and Alaska. Anne was baptized Episcopalian and enjoyed holiday church services. Anne is survived by; her beloved husband, Robert, brother Charles Perkins of MA; son Stephen J. Gange of Baltimore, MD; daughter Jennifer A. Gange-Parker of Sunbury, PA; her granddaughters, Victoria Gange and Elizabeth Gange and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions can be made to, Alzheimer's Association: Greater Pennsylvania Chapter – Harrisburg or for Parkinson’s disease.

So many times your mom shook her head at us and our antics when we were in high school… I can’t imagine how she worried about us and what we were up to next. She was awesome! Yes, that she was. I love you Jen, if you need anything just let me know. As you know, unfortunately, I’ve recently gone through the same thing. I love you so much! My condolences to you and to your family.
