Connie Reese

M. Conne Reese, of Mallard Run Apartments, Camp Hill, formerly of Dillsburg, died August 13, 2012. She was born, October 27, 1921, in Bronxville, NY, the daughter of Mosely A. and Mary Barth Keller. She was the widow of Benjamin F. Reese.

She graduated from Allensville and Belleville High Schools, and attended adult ed classes for over 25 years.

She was a machinist for the Army Air Corp at Olmsted Field, Middletown, and at Hickam Field, Hawaii, during WWll; did drafting and lettering for Capital Engineering; free – lance writing, and was a prize – winning poet and columnist.

She was a member of Hagy’s Old Timers, Helen O. Krause Animal Shelter, Bunny People, and the House Rabbit Society. She was also a former member of the National Federation of State Poetry Society, The Pa Poetry Society, the Carlisle Poets’ Workshop, and the Academy of American Poets.

She enjoyed animals, writing, reading, woodworking, swimming, rubber stamping, crossword puzzles and life in general.

She is survived by a daughter, Robin Yetter, of Belleville, PA.
