Dante was born in Philadelphia PA, the son of Sally O’Keefe and Keith Sears. He was loved and survived by, brother Jonah O’Keefe his wife Molly, their son Collin, Dante’s Sister Amber Lutin and stepmother Christine George. He resided with Heather Logan and her daughter Mckenzie. He was also survived by his Grandmother Jane O’Keefe, family members Molle and Mark, Bill and Theresa, Tom and Sue, Michael and Sharon, Megan, Coleen and Amy. Many cousins also shared Dante’s life.
Dante was a star football player at Cedar Cliff High school in Camp Hill PA, helping his team reach the State Championship game his senior year. He spoke often of the great bond with his teammates; those values would carry over to his military career.
Dante is a retired Navy veteran. He was an Aviation Warfare Systems Operator, who was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for heroism from The President of the United States. He was a Search and Rescue Instructor in Florida and served in the Afghanistan War.
Dante loved baseball; his passion was visiting every Major League stadium in the country which he did with his family and friends. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, who dragged his knee from Pennsylvania, to Florida, to California and back. Dante also loved music, and had the ability to make everyone around him smile.
Dante will be put to rest with full Military Honors on May 2nd 2013, at 11:30am.
