David Daniel Garlinger

David "Dave" Daniel Garlinger, 73, of Camp Hill, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020 in UPMC Harrisburg Hospital. He was born June 30, 1947 in Harrisburg, son of the late Leroy and Mary (Hoover) Garlinger.

Dave was a 1965 graduate of Cedar Cliff High School. Prior to retirement, Dave was was employed with the Department of Corrections for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for 37 years.

Dave enjoyed going on trips and spending every day with his wife of 25 years who he adored. He enjoyed spending time with his family, being a "Pappy", taking his 1947 Chevy truck that he built to car shows, and watching the Phillies and Eagles. Dave was loved dearly by his family.

Preceded in death by his son David Garlinger, Jr. of Enola.

Survived by his wife Tina (Hoon) Garlinger of Camp Hill.

Survived by his children Florence (Anderson) Garlinger, of Mechanicsburg, Deborah (Garlinger) Ritz and her spouse Thomas Ritz of Etters, Dean Garlinger and his spouse Karen (Whitaker) Garlinger of Camp Hill, Dennis Garlinger and his spouse Mindy (Williams) Garlinger of Enola, Amanda (Megonnell) Thompson and her spouse Brian Thompson of Seattle, and Rachel (Megonnell) Mowry and her spouse Christopher Mowry.

Survived by his grandchildren Alyssa (Garlinger) Whitcomb and her spouse Abraham Whitcomb, Rebecca Garlinger, Kelsie (Ritz) Poff and her spouse Sean Poff, Keirsten (Ritz) Rende and her spouse Anthony Rende, Kaitlyn Ritz, T.J. Ritz and his spouse Johnnessa (Mummert) Ritz, Tanner Garlinger, Gavin Garlinger, Madison Garlinger, Zachary Garlinger, Charlotte Thompson, Elizabeth Thompson, Henry Thompson, Olivia Runk, Carson Mowry, Isabelle Mowry and 9 great grandchildren.

Survived by his brother Ronald Garlinger and his spouse Donna Garlinger. Survived by his father-in-law, James McGough.

Funeral services were private due to the current pandemic restrictions.
