She was born in Steelton, PA on November 28, 1934, to Samuel and Divina (Fure) Marsico. Dolly grew up in Steelton, PA surrounded by a large Italian family that she loved to spend time with.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank, Samuel and Donald Marsico.
Dolly is survived by her loving husband Ronald Dougherty; daughter, Kathleen Hooker (Charles) and son, Ronald Dougherty Jr.(Barbara); her sister Rose (Marsico) Santoni; brothers, Edward (Suzie) Marsico and Raymond (Donna) Marsico; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren, all of whom will greatly miss her presence in their lives.
Dolly graduated from Harrisburg Catholic - Class of 1952. She worked for Bell Telephone Corporation until retiring from the accounting department. She then devoted her time to her grandchildren and her work with various Catholic Charities. She was an active volunteer with the Silence of Mary Home. Dolly was recognized for her continuing of leaving a life with purpose and received the Sage Award for the volunteer work after retirement. Dolly also served as a eucharistic minister for St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
A visitation will take place on Monday, November 24, 2025 from 10:00-11:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg, PA. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00am. Burial services will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Mechanicsburg, PA.
